What do you want in your lifetime? Can you tell me? Have you taken the time to contemplate your wants? What needs to be done to achieve them?
Are you willing to pay the price?
You see, we all have dreams. In many cases they are very similar. A good job, good health, good family relations, good friendships, a nice house, a nice car. In general we want a happy, comfortable life. After that it may vary a bit with travel and business building, you might want to do something altruistic. Whatever the case may be, you have some form of a vision for what you want your life to be like in the future.
But here’s the real question. Is this vision a dream or a goal? Because there is a difference.
There’s the fantasy of your dream life that you think would be nice to have and then theres the detailed objective that you will stop at nothing to achieve. If it’s just a fantasy, continue on with your current life but if it’s a must, tell me what are you going to give up?
Hours of getting lost in Facebook won’t take you a step closer to your goal. Same goes for Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin, snapchat and whatever other app is cool these days.
Re-runs of friends, or the walking dead or house of cards won’t move you forward either.
Sleeping in on Saturdays, skipping the gym, ordering multiple takeaways a week, playing fifa, nights out, whatever.
Somethings Gotta Give.
You consider your life to be full, even if a large percentage is procrastination. But in order to get what you want, you must be willing to give up one of the “comforts” you now have.
Start blogging, writing, researching, contacting suppliers, going for a run, saving, budgeting or even just stop watching elementary and research how to do any of these things.
No one said it was going to be easy, they just said it was going to be worth it.
